Beijing: The truth about the pandas attracting tourists at a Chinese zoo has come to light. For the first time, China has acknowledged the mix-up. Initially, the zoo defended itself but later accepted the facts due to a viral video.
In the video, what appeared to be pandas were actually dogs. The footage showed one dog panting and sitting on a rock, while another dog emerged from a fenced area. Tourists mistook them for pandas until they started barking. The dogs had been painted to look like pandas.
Initially, Shanvi Zoo claimed they were a breed of “panda dogs,” but later admitted they had painted the animals.
