In September 2024, Bajaj Auto became a top player in the electric two-wheeler market, selling 18,933 electric scooters. This was a huge 166% increase compared to last year, giving Bajaj a market share of 21.5% and making it the second largest in the industry.

Ola Electric, while still the largest player in the e2W sector, saw its market share decline to 27% from 39% in July. The company sold 23,965 scooters in September, which, although a 29% increase from the previous year, represented a decrease from August’s figures. Customer complaints regarding service issues have contributed to Ola’s slipping market position.
TVS Motor Company also performed well, selling 17,865 scooters and securing a market share of 20.3%. The competition among these legacy brands illustrates a shifting landscape in the e2W market, where Bajaj Auto and TVS are gaining ground against Ola Electric
