In September 2024, TVS Motor Company saw a big 20% increase in sales, with 482,495 units sold compared to 402,553 units last year. This growth was mainly due to strong sales in the two-wheeler segment, which grew by 22%, reaching 471,792 units sold.
The domestic market particularly contributed to this success, with two-wheeler sales rising by 23% to 369,138 units. The motorcycle segment experienced a 23% increase, reaching 229,268 units, while scooter sales also grew by 20%. However, the three-wheeler category faced a decline, with sales dropping to 10,703 units from 15,598 units in September 2023.
Overall, the company reported that for the July-September 2024 quarter, it achieved a 15% growth in sales, totaling 1.19 million units, alongside a notable 11% increase in exports.
